NCDs Media Training on Palliative Care in NCDs Prevention and Management by Dr Zippy Ali August 14 2020

With the rise of NCDs in Kenya, palliative care can help people with NCDs better manage their illnesses by supporting their physical, emotional, and social needs. Integration of palliative care in primary health care of NCD management is vital in addressing the growing burden of health-related suffering.

Palliative care focuses on giving relief to a patient from the symptoms and stress of a serious illness, and should ideally commence upon diagnosis of a condition, and continue throughout treatment.
