There is an immense but untapped role of media and the limited capacity of NCD experts/advocates to effectively communicate NCDs, the challenges advocates meet in trying to create NCD awareness.

David Makumi will highlight how journalists play a key role in raising awareness of non-communicable diseases (NCDs).

Gladys Gachanja will show how the media can support NCD advocacy more effectively who will highlight global or regional trends and some insights on the challenges of media in communicating about NCDs.
