The Global Week of Action (GWA) on NCDs is an annual event hosted every September aims to unite the global NCDs movement in focusing efforts to ensure NCD prevention and control get the attention and action they deserve. Globally, the burden of non-communicable diseases is expected to increase by 17% by 2025.

This year, the theme for the 2021 Global Week for Action on NCDs is Community Engagement celebrating the power and potential of communities to act together on NCDs and drive change.

The NCD Alliance Kenya through the Caucus of Persons Living with NCDs has planned various activities to commemorate the GWA on NCDs, which runs from 6th to 12th September 2021, under the theme of Engaging Communities: People, Participation, Progress.
