Diabetes is a lifelong condition that develops when the body does not make enough insulin or is not able to use the insulin produced effectively or both. The Ministry of Health records indicates that between 2% to 5% of Kenyans are living with Diabetes. In Kenya, 60% of the adult population living with diabetes remain undiagnosed. The majority have type 2 diabetes, live in urban areas and are of working age.
