Project Impact
- 1. Established 2 specialized clinics in Isiolo and Vihiga counties.
- 2. Over 1000 patients with severe NCD conditions put on specialised care.
- 3. 300 patients enrolled in the Social Health Insurance cover and education support to 60 students through the social support program under the Imarisha Afya Mtaani Initiate.
Project Focus
The project focuses on the following disease Conditions;
- Type 1 diabetes
- Sickle Cell Disease
- Rheumatic and Congenital Heart Diseases
- Chronic Heart Diseases
- Complicated Hypertension
Project Objective: Improve care quality for severe chronic NCDs at primary referral facilities and decentralize NCD services for underserved communities.
Key Project Activities: Components – Training, mentorship, supply chain improvement, social protection, clinical tools development, and national scale-up planning.
