Project Impact

The project has supported the formation and activation of 14 county chapters across the county. Members of the county chapters trained on advocacy and are able to advocate for the prioritization and allocation of resources for sickle cell disease services in the counties.

Enhance Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) detection, care, and advocacy in 17 endemic counties in Kenya

Project Objective

Advancing comprehensive sickle cell disease detection, care, and rehabilitation in Kenya.

Project Key Activities: Awareness Creation, Education and Advocacy, Health System Strengthening, Training of Health Care Workers and Community Health Promoters, formation and activation of County NCD Advocacy Chapters, Training Warriors in NCD Advocacy, Public Participation and linkages with duty bearers, World SCD days commemoration, mentorship, and Continuous Medical Education.
